Veterans
- All dogs must be 7 years or older.
- Jump heights will be set to 7".
- There will be no restarts for false starts. The heat will continue and the dog who committed the false start will rerun.
- The maximum number of heats in a day will be 16 and the racing format shall be 4/4 or less.
- A dog's club affiliation is not affected by running in Veteran's class. This allows for pick-up teams.
- A dog running in Veteran's class cannot run in any other class on the same day.
- Veteran's class is eligible for NAFA points and tournament placements, but is not eligible for points towards regional placement or the recording of regional or world record times.
- For further details regarding the Veteran's class, please consult the Official NAFA Rule Book.
Open
- A dog's club affiliation is not affected by running in Open class. This allows for pick-up teams.
- A dog running in Open class can run in Regular class the same day.
- Open class is eligible for NAFA points and tournament placements, but is not eligible for points towards regional placement or the recording of regional or world record times.
- For further details regarding the Open class, please consult the Official NAFA Rule Book.
Seeding
- Depending on the number of Veteran's and Open entries, one round of Open racing may be seeded and run with Veteran's teams. In this case, the heat limit and false start rule for Veteran's will apply to those races.
- If possible, it is our intent to seed Veteran's and Open classes so that they achieve 16 heats for Veterans and a similar number of heats for Open as the Regular divisions.
